18:25 Bruce Airhead generating an uproar of laughter with his hilarious comedy sketch. He invites up young boy Jonathan to assist him and he improvised along brilliantly. Another different and quirky act that the crowd adore here at Summer in Southside.

17:22 HUGE crowds gather for Whip Lash who perform Skate Naked, a mixture dangerous stunts and crazy situation. Both humour and shocking tricks combine to create a spellbinding show which attracts an immense amount of people to view the spectacle.

17:06 Just watched the magnificent Mimbre perform The Bench, a fantastically funny and astonishing acrobatic act who explore the idea of how we connect with others. All focused around a women who sits on a bench and watches the world go by. 11930687_10206649932599071_1759546055_n

16:35 I’m blogging from inside the Birmingham Hippodrome’s ambassador’s caravan in unwind. Which is a chill out zone to encourage informal chat about what people have seen and enjoyed throughout the day. Lots of kids and adults have sat down to unwind and enjoy some arts and crafts whilst chatting to the ambassadors about their experience at Summer in Southside.

I had my photo taken in their photo booth, come along and have yours taken and tweet it out with the hashtag #BhamAmbassadors

16:25pm | I have just arrived at Summer in Southside this afternoon and I’ll be live blogging the event. When walking in I was amazed by all the creative and fun activities and games available for all the children. From giant swinging boats to funfair style games there is so much for the kids to get involved with. Including the exciting Tangle, a giant weaving play space in which children can create a huge multicoloured landscape by weaving coloured elastic around towering golden poles.

All the activities are FREE of charge, fun for all the family!

Watch the video to see all the exciting children’s activities going on right now.
